Oklahoma EMS Training Academy (OKEMSTA/OkEmt) is an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) educational business offering a variety of EMS certification courses, recertification courses, American Heart Association (AHA) classes and EMS related continuing education (CEU). OKEMSTA/OkEmt is committed to continuing the deep traditional EMS educational standards and services that have stood in this area for decades. Our goal is to become a premier EMS educational service provider throughout Northeast Oklahoma and the US.

Over 3 Decades of EMS Experience

Okemsta/OkEmt has over 30 years of EMS experience in prehospital medicine including ambulance, fixed winged, helicopter, field training, adminstration, emergency room, nursing and education.

17 years of EMS Education

The owner and lead instructor has over 17 years of teaching experience in EMT, EMR, AEMT, Paramedic and all disiplines of AHA. Activily advising degree seeking students as well as guiding non-degree EMS students on a path to their chosen EMS career.

22 Years of Critical Care Experience

The Program Director & Lead Instructor is a retired Certified Flight Paramedic and Nurse. Caring & transporting critical patients for over 2 decades with 3 different flight services.

Blended EMT Courses

Complete Didactic Portion Online

Blended courses are designed to complete most of the didactic/bookwork portion of the class at home! These courses are designed for busy individuals that may not have the time to attend a weekly in person class schedule, but have the discipline to complete the school work at home. We offer different blends of course designs adjusted to the needs of our student and the changing times in the world, such as COVID-19. A mixture of home study, online (Zoom) classes and in person skills portion of the curriculum are utilized in these courses.

Traditional EMS Classroom Courses

Instructor led EMS courses that are set up on 17 to 18 week durations. A traditional style curriculum with all the didactic/bookwork, lab and skill components of the program being completed in a classroom.

All Courses Require Completion of Clinical Rotations

All EMS students will be required to complete a set of clinical rotations assigned for their course discipline by the conclusion of the program.

(We do not offer a Natl. Reg. paramedic courses)

In-House EMS Courses

All EMS Programs may be designed to meet the demands of a busy Fire Department or EMS service. On site programs can be set up and implemented at your place of business, if the facility meets the state of Oklahoma requirements to be additional EMS training site.

Annual Training / Subscription

Year Around Recertification

Recertification offered in all EMS disciplines. Complete all CEU's needed for recertification in person, online or in a combination of each modality. OKEMSTA offers a subscription program for those that want to complete the the process at their own pace.
